Surprise! I’m becoming a Pilates instructor!
So…I have a little Desert Blue news to share.
I’m getting certified as a Pilates instructor!
Because apparently running a coaching business, having a full-time job, volunteering, and generally keeping myself busy wasn’t quite enough.
But honestly, this feels like a pretty natural next step for me.
A huge part of my coaching work is helping people build confidence: in their careers, in their decisions, in their voices, and in their ability to advocate for themselves.
And I’ve come to believe that confidence can come from a lot of different places.
Sometimes it comes from finally speaking up at work.
Sometimes it comes from leaving the job that’s been draining you.
Sometimes it comes from realizing you actually do know what you’re doing.
And sometimes…it comes from feeling stronger, more capable, and more comfortable in your own body.
That’s where Pilates comes in.
I love the idea of movement being another way we can build strength, confidence, body awareness, and trust in ourselves. So naturally, I decided to turn my personal love of Pilates into another thing I get to share with other people. Because why not?
I’ve created a brand-new Desert Blue Pilates page on my website where you can learn more about what I’m offering, upcoming classes, workshops, and events.
>>> Check out Desert Blue Pilates >>> https://www.desertblueaz.com/pilates-coaching
I’m also creating a separate Pilates email list for those of you who want the Pilates-specific stuff: class announcements, workshops, events, special offerings, and other movement-related goodness.
If you want to be added, just let me know you want to be added to the Pilates list. I’ll take care of the rest.
And the coaching side of Desert Blue isn’t going anywhere. I’m still coaching individuals and groups and hosting workshops and doing all the Career & Confidence Coaching things.
You’ll still get my regular career, confidence, workplace, and self-advocacy emails right here. Please keep reading, replying, forwarding, and sharing them with people who might need a little Desert Blue in their inbox.
Basically, Desert Blue is growing a little. But the mission is still the same:
Helping you build the clarity, confidence, and courage to show up for yourself.
Sometimes we do that through coaching.
Sometimes we do it through movement.
And sometimes, apparently, we do both.
Warmly,
Niki Lomibao
